News update from Jon Tattersall

I have some fairly major news to share – for some months I have been going through the selection process to see if I am being called by God to become Ordained in the Church of England.  I am pleased and excited to let you know that this process has led to me being offered training for Ordination from September.  The sad news is that this means I will have to step down from my role as Youth Pastor at St John’s Church, with my last sunday being the 31st August.

Whilst the details are a little hazy, Jennie and the children will remain very much a part of St John’s Church family, and as I will only be training in Nottingham, I will be still be around somewhat and attending St John’s when possible.

Over the remaining 3 months of my time as Youth Pastor, I will be working with the Church leadership and key volunteers to ensure that the youth ministry is left in the best possible shape.  I am confident that I leave St John’s in very good hands, thanks in part to the incredible youth work volunteers who give so much time and effort, love and devotion to the lives of the young people we are blessed to serve.

Jon TattersallPlease could I ask for your prayers as we as a family come to terms with this big change, and also for the youth and wider church as they/you move forward.

All our love

Jon, Jennie & the girls!
