The Real Easter Egg

Have you thought about the eggs that you buy for Easter?
There are a few alternatives now available that consider issues other than profit – here is one of the companies that offer an alternative with a difference:

+Nigel McCulloch with children & easter eggsThe Real Easter Egg brings together the Easter themes of hope and new life in three ways:

1. The egg is made from Fairtrade chocolate (The whole crop from one chocolate tree makes 16 Real Easter Eggs).

2. It is the only Easter egg to tell the story of the Jesus Easter miracle on the box and has three crosses on the front as a reminder. This is a teaching opportunity for the 50% of children who do not know the Easter story.

3. It gives money away to two charities: Traidcraft Exchange – which helps small-scale farmers in the developing world trade their way out of poverty, and Baby Lifeline – which supports new mums here in the UK.
